I remember those days (snuck on a plane bound for New York just to see it... the perks of being a Bell Captain in the International Airport Hotel). Although Bolivar and Uriarte were probably better in quinelas and partidos at that time I think Churruca was still considered the best backcourter in the world (not bad for a guy in his forties).
