I agree. So many people play numbers at jai-alai that the actual win odds are usually not even close to what the reasonable probabilities are, even after adjusting for the takeout.

There was one player at Miami last year (was it Arruti?) who had won only once in something like 70 tries in singles. Nevertheless, he often went off at single digit odds.
