You'd have to include that in the batting average, 'cause that's
what batting average MEANS. But, payoffs are a different animal,
an independent variable in this case.
Let's just try a different example. Say you're measuring people's
height. Your data show:
5-8
5-8
5-11
6-2
5-4
5-9
5-11
5-8
5-10
Then, you measure someone as 7 feet, 11 inches. Now, what do
you do?
Kinda depends on what you're using your data for, doesn't it?
