AAJA certainly produced more than a few pros. Bucci and Cruz instantly come to mind. Matt as well but he was a guy that started his pro career later than most. I'm sure there are many more, but I knew those two guys, I'm certain many more followed after I left Ct in 1982. That 150' or so pelota court sure took a pounding but it was good enough to get a few guys pro contracts. I can't really see any future American pro players.

How many pro players are even in Florida,,,, 100 maybe? I think any replacement players for old pros like Tevin will be Basque, very tough to get time on a pelota court these days and I can't see a young kid going from 110' to 180' without some experience on the pro court.

You'd have to be pretty crazy to even play jai alai as a young man instead of going to college. Damn good chance it doesn't exist in 5 years and it never paid like MLB or other main sports. MLB minimum is like 500k now to sit on the bench mostly, no pelotari ever made that kind money.
