Given today's small pools I think it wise to avoid overly difficult
boxes/ straights/ whatever with numbers like 456/ 678.
I always liked a 5/23/23, but many others I like exist. I don't
like to box in general. If I like 853. I don't want 5-8-3, 3-8-5
etc. I really want 8/35/35.
You can't really bet the WPS tiny pools. The tris get the action
followed by the Q's. The exacta/ perfecta pool is kinda dodgy.
I haven't been to pro Jai alai since Milford failed, so these
observations are from better days. In Florida , I reckon you might
as well consider it trifecta only, esp. if they have really low
minimums.
Is there a breakdown available online of what the pools were in
various games ? I highly doubt it.
