(E) The serve.
1. A designated area on the playing court shall be specified from which a ball must be served and failure to comply with this rule shall cause the server to forfeit the point to his opponent.
2. If the server for any reason does not complete a serve or should the ball touch any article of clothing or anything on the person of the server or his partner before being caught by the Cesta, the server shall forfeit the point to his opponent.
3. Only one (1) serve shall be allowed for each point in all Games.
4. On the serve, the ball must first strike the front wall, with the exception of the provisions of section 17(F).(F) Two-wall serve. The Division may, at its discretion, waive the requirement specified in section 17(E)(4) to permit the use of the so-called "two-wall" or "carom" serve for use in doubles Games only. On this "two-wall" or "carom" serve, the ball may strike the side wall before striking the front wall. This waiver shall be for a period of one Year only, and if so desired, must be renewed on an annual basis. In addition, the Division may revoke this waiver at any time for reasons it deems appropriate.
