Picking a good serve and scoring the point with it is an art
form that very few master. The problem with taking a good serve
is that the point is usually over right then, you ether score,
drop it, throw it out of bounds or set up your opponent to put
you away.
Taking a good serve should be a calculated strategy depending
on your opponent and your partner.If you are playing with a great
back against a weaker team why take the chance of taking the serve.
If you are playing with a weaker back against a great team you
would take the chance and pick the serve. If its a bad serve most
fronts will put the point away or throw it back to set up their
other hand.
