There is a place not too far from me called Bikinis Sports
Bar and Grill....makes the Hooters uniform seem tame. They wear
very small denim shorts and bikini tops, and no pantyhose like
the Hooters girls. Much more revealing. It is conveniently located
by the local university. Not convenient for me to get there...but
convenient as in they hire coeds to work there!
I cannot remember the last time I was in a Cracker Barrel that
wasn't absolutely packed....but suppose that won't work for jai-alai.
I agree about going with a mainstream place like Cheesecake Factory...that
would be a draw. Also Bahama Breeze, that place has a cool atmosphere.
Brio Tuscan Grille is popular too and has an upscale feel.
Personally with it being SouthFL I would go with a Houston's.
They are well known, have a menu that covers most everything and
are known for quality. Just nice enough without being too fancy.
You can dress up or down and be good to go there. I have been
many times and never had a bad meal at Houston's. Or for that
matter never even a bad server. Always top notch. Often a long
wait though.
I also like the tapas idea. Especially since that is a Basque
tradition. Maybe do a mainstream restaurant as your primary dining
place, then a nice upscale lounge that offers a tapas menu of
just 7-8 options that changes daily.
