Gosh, how I remember kids' day on an occasional Saturday matinee
in Newport back in the 70's and early 80's. They put all the kids
in the upstairs section, away from most of the betting (and the
colorful language). It was basically one continuous loud hum for
the entire afternoon; and what I remember was the Excedrin headache
I had when I walked out.
Of course , the players turned it up a notch and would jump the
walls and climb the fence like in the TV commercials - it was
usually quite a spectacle at that. Ah, memories.
