I have often thought that a visit to the local Jai Alai fronton would make a
great field trip for Spanish language classes in high schools. In fact, I made this
suggestion back in 1990 to the PR guy at Orlando. My suggestion fell upon deaf ears.
My thinking was that you could cultivate/develop a new and available
fan base that was just a few years away from legally entering
a fronton on their own-- without a
parent or guardian. An idea that never got off the ground.
