Much to my chagrin I feel jai-alai has no chance to survive. I attended MGM Las Vegas jai-alai in 1974. There could not have been more than 25 people in the auditorium. More recently, dog racing was still generating a modicum of interest, with 2 Night of Stars a year. Now there are not enough tracks to support even 1 per year. Hollywood barely runs and has petitoned to stop. Jai-alai, I fear, awaits the same fate. Enjoy it while we can.
