It does seem he's been plagued with some pretty horrid injuries. However, IN MY OPINION, Arriaga, even in his prime, would come out, and some nights, just not have it. Lots of pros in sports are like that. Moreover, Arriaga's game is so crystal clean when he's on...one of the best cortadas in the game, and the best picada around in the front, and just great form all around...doesn't have a weakness in his shots. But his game is also centered on confidence. I'll never forget, at the WORLD SERIES of jai alai at Orlando...the event that featured 3-4 games played to 7 straight points, and Arriaga and his partner played superb to get to game point in a very, very long first competitive game, and Arriaga gets what he wants, a floater on the wood at the overserve line, and he's just waiting on it, and everyone knew 'game over', and he tipped it!! I said, "well, he's done for the weekend." And he was...so sad. He's still got game, though, and I can still see him coming back and leading the pack, but it's not going to be easy.
