Chris, I've been keying the place number in the tri ever since Milford had the $1 tri bets in the early 80's. The same betting system Florida has. I would team up with a friend of mine and we would bet all with 41, 42, 31, 32. We would each play one of those #s and when we hit one, which was like 3 to 5 tris a night, we would then play all 4 #s You can also add all 15, 25. They are all run-out #s so you won't get rich but you will be cashing in more times. What I do in Dania is to take the top 3 exacta #s and add the most common # that comes out with it in the tri. For example on Wednesday night, I played the 32, 41 and 42 exacta and added the top tri #s with it. I hit a 325, 425 and 413 plus the exactas. Today in the matinee at Miami, I can't bet Dania in Ocala unless I go to Ocala Jai Alai, but I can go to OBS which is like OTB back north and only 3 miles from my house.I did quite well with the 43, 41 and 42 exactas and a few tris with them except for the 42. Just follow these #s and go easy at first until you get the feel of it. Contrary to what most people think... it's a nunbers game. I realized that when I used to handicap and top players like Bolivar, Cachin, Jauristi to name a few, didn't win every game they played or come I T M for that matter.
