Tony, that all sounds good but I don't see how Big Bend could be 'approved' for class II slots since they are illegal in FL. None of the parimutuels can have class II slots, only Broward/Dade got class III slots. Trying to get class II slots approved for all the FL parimutuels was part of the Seminole compact negotiation fiasco....but it never happened.
Maybe you mean that the locals (county?) has approved class II slots IF the law changes and they are legal in FL but then must be approved also locally. Like poker.
If someone could buy Big Bend and immediately install class II slots then it would be a no-brainer and a big casino company would already be in the process and would renovate even if the cost was $10 million.
Even with just poker legal for now, if $2 million is the figure then a company with knowledge of poker could make it work. With no other poker rooms in the area they could recoup their investment back quickly, especially if they built a nice poker area.
