During 'the day' when Jai Alai was big and the money there was plentiful we played overlays on the perfecta board. We needed to wait for the absolute last second to bet to see what the odds were on the 30 combinations we'd play. We made a pretty good living for years doing this. Of course it all started going south in the mid-90s when there was just not enough money in the pools to play how we did. Gone were the days of $5,000 perfecta pools. We couldn't bet off of $500 in there. So our overlay days ended. However, we did wind up W-A-Y ahead!!!!!
