About 15 years ago I got the privelidge to play jai alai in Cuba for 7 days and one thing I noticed is that the Cubans that were there are very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about jai alai. Its just a shame that the very people that would give anything to have jai alai back in Havana dont have a pot to pi$$ in. If it was possible to build a fronton on dedication and committment to the sport it would of been built already. It was unbelievable what the cuban players were using for cestas and what was more unbelievable was how well they played with a cesta anyone one of us would have thrown out years ago. I hope they do get jai alai back in Cuba but I think at this point in time its just too complicated to accomplish it anytime soon.
