Forget the lottery, the strike and the casinos. Back in the late 70's/early 80's the streets were paved with gold. Expansion was predicted - EVERYWHERE. But, somehow, they let it go. Fat cats? Maybe, they thought it was automatic, but they stopped pressuring the legislatures to (slightly) expand their views of pari-mutuel wagering. That's when they lost it. The blunt instrument blows came later.
If I was wealthy, 30 years younger, and an entrepreneur, I might STILL do something, but now, I keep this site to help glue together the few remaining "die-hards"
