I doubt that any ex-players would be posting on this board were it the early 80's. There would probably be lots about interfronton rivalries, especially in Connecticut. Possibly, talks about expanding the game into other states such as New York might still be going on. And fans in both Florida and New England would still be talking about the rosters moving on a seasonal basis.
No doubt there'd be plenty about the murder of John Callahan, and all the undertones that the event brought on.
Of course, debates about the greatest players and systems to beat the bank at the frontons, while handles were still huge and the chances of a big triple or other exotic wager were much greater than today's limited betting pools allow
