I don't really have a favorite post number in ANY game, whether it's 7 points or 9 points. I understand that the earlier post positions have an advantage, but I'm more concerned with "who" than with "where". As for how a 9 point game affects my strategy, in a spec9 game I don't automatically rule out some of the combinations that I would never play in a spec7 game. For example, if there are two teams I really like above all the others, and they are in posts 5 and 6, I'd never play a 5/6/X trifecta in a spec 7 game, but I might play it in a spec9 game.
