One of the things that bugs me about exotics like the tri super
or double quinella is that there are generally only a few exchanges
left after the first round, yet the odds remain long.
Why not a triexactquinella bet (doesn't sound right, but you'll
get the idea where over a three race period you must first correctly
select the trifecta in the first leg, then if successful collect
half the pool and also receive an exchange for an EXACTA in the
next game (odds are 1/6 that of the triple, to make up for the
few remaining tickets. If an exchange hits, the winners would
split 1/4 of the remaining pool and receive an exchange for a
QUINELLA in the third leg, and if the quinella exchange (1/2 the
odds of the exacta: 1/12 the odds of the triple) is hit any winners
share the balance of the pool equally, or else there is a carry
over. A bit different, but interesting. What do you guys think
(I shudder to ask)?
