One of the things that bugs me about exotics like the tri super or double quinella is that there are generally only a few exchanges left after the first round, yet the odds remain long.
Why not a triexactquinella bet (doesn't sound right, but you'll get the idea where over a three race period you must first correctly select the trifecta in the first leg, then if successful collect half the pool and also receive an exchange for an EXACTA in the next game (odds are 1/6 that of the triple, to make up for the few remaining tickets. If an exchange hits, the winners would split 1/4 of the remaining pool and receive an exchange for a QUINELLA in the third leg, and if the quinella exchange (1/2 the odds of the exacta: 1/12 the odds of the triple) is hit any winners share the balance of the pool equally, or else there is a carry over. A bit different, but interesting. What do you guys think (I shudder to ask)?
