Re(1): #240 - What makes cestas different?

This thread was excellent about the cesteros. Cestas are really at times a catch 22. When you order 3 baskets, usually 1 feels perfect, 1 feels pretty good and 1 your going to try and sell quick. Some players put way too much into their baskets, and some guys will play great with a clorox bottle. For me, when I used really fast baskets, my rebote on the left side was at its best, but I would give up the right side accuracy, in particular the carom as I couldn't control it. When I would use a slow basket, I would catch much better, never over serve, but would give up the rebote from the left and my arm would hurt like hell. In my rebelloius days it really bothered the hell out of me that Ondress Egurbide would only make baskets for select players, I mean I really thought that was unfair, offering Basque players who were already better than the majority of American players, who had access to professional courts, had better training, had better equpiment, it would be like giving Tiger Woods a set of golf clubs that was tailored only for him, that most others would be banned from ordering.
