I have a strong opinion but I'll keep it bias.

No handicapping: everyone loves to see Goiko n the 1,2,3. Not fair to other players, he already makes a grand more than the next guy. Example: Goiko in the 1 making $5000 and 200 wins. Lejardi in the 6 making $3000 with 80 wins.

Handicapping: all players start the season with the same advantage and as time goes on the handicapping gets tighter. I have never believed that because someone makes 5 grand he should be in the 5,6,7 but if he wins 5 games in the weekend I expect to see him buried with a fair partner on Wednesday.

The latter provide the opportunity for the manager to help players that struggle gain some confidence when he needs it by getting a good partner or good post.

The way managers have explained it to me, at the end of the season 30 players should have around 90 wins, 10 guys should battle for the championship at around 110 wins and the rest couldn't win (even with help) and will finish with less than 75 wins. This makes it better for some players but no good for others. On another note, player's managers have abused the power of the pencil so some players rather leave it to chance.

Remember this is my view from the inside of the screen. Some on this site may see it different from the other side.
The companies like the present system because they get a % of every dollar bet. I know people pound Goiko in the 1. Maybe not so much if he's in the 6 with a bad partner.

The system was voted in at the end of the strike so the management couldn't stick it to the returning striking players.
