You know what? I was very surprised by the play of Elordieta at
Ocala this year. Back in 1999, I thought he was one of the best
players on the roster, but had crossed him off of all of my exotics
over the past couple seasons. That strategy worked for about 2
weeks this year, but all of a sudden, he turned out to be an animal,
and absolutely destroyed people for the final 6 weeks. I couldn't
have been more surprised about his discovery of the "rejuvenation
machine."
Biggest disappointment? Probably Ocala short-paying me on that
trifecta where I had the only winning ticket on the first-half
twin tri, but they only paid me 1/4 of the returnable pool instead
of 1/2.
