I think the fact that you can't see the odds on the various combinations
before you bet leads to more people betting on the "chalk".
Bettors might change their strategy if they saw that their Pick-3
combo was paying 15-1. Since the odds aren't posted during betting,
those bettors just play their choices, basically in the dark.
I don't play the Pick-3, so all the Pick-3 chalk betting doesn't
affect my strategy at all. If I did bet it, I'd most likely look
for probable value out of the easier post positions.
