My absolute favorite bet is a strong team in post 1 or 2 because
it's actually much more difficult to pick the place and show on
the trifecta, as opposed to the run of the mill 3/12/all when
post 3 is strong. Or upside down numbers off a high post, etc.
It costs a bit, but in the end, the return is usually pretty strong.
For example, 1/2/all, 1/3/25678, 1/4/23678, 1/5/23478, 1/6/234,
1/7/2345 and 1/8/3456. Granted, 128, 135, 143, 146, 154, 157,
158, 172 and 186 are tougher, but they come in a lot more than
people think, and they always pay very well. It's also hard to
get burned in the play-off...lol. It costs about $30.
