Seriously, a maxed-out scoreboard would have all 8 teams with
6 points. Trouble is, owing to the first 7 points being single
value, at least one team must have an odd score. So now our maxed-out
scoreboard would have 7 teams at 6 with 1 at 5, for a total of
47 points.
7 points at single value and 40 at double makes for 27 total points
played on the court. The next 3 points will be forced game, place
and show, making 30.
If you look at possibilities where the main part of the game ends
earlier, you still have the problem that in the playoffs any team
that reaches or exceeds 7 will place or show instantly. Therefore
only 2 teams can ever exceed 6 points. Which is basically the
same limits as the maxed-out case.
