They can make money with it, because they used to make good money
with it. On a typical Saturday night, the QD pools approached
or surpassed $1,000 at Miami. I know...I used to hit them sometimes
when I got lucky. Since the changeover, the pool might be $100
on a huge Sunday matinee, if that.
I find it so interesting that it wasn't until recently all the
Pik 6's, 7's, 8's and 9's were drawn up by the horse tracks, and
yet you can bet them anywhere you want. Granted, the pools on
them are huge, but it just shows it's possible to create whatever
the heck protocol it takes.
You are right...Orlando doesn't care about the QD. I was told
that. But what a way to kill a bet and income for Miami. If a
horse track were to say, ok, we want it, and get it back, they'd
have such a huge pool, because people would eat it up, just like
they eat up the Pik 3's, 4's, etc.
