Question - For which runouts is a tri playoff not needed?

For me, it's a combination of both. I cover more of the tougher outcomes. A quick example: If I like post 4, I play 4/123/all, 4/5/1238, 4/67/123 and 4/8/1235. Yes, some are tough, but a 4-5-8 is not that outrageous. Neither is a 4-3-5 or 4-3-6. I looke at the return, and the fact I HATE, HATE PLAYOFFS where I don't have them all covered...lol.

I know I could cut down the betting and rule out such tougher numbers, but to me, you make up the difference in possibly catching a trifecta that yields a big return...maybe even a signer, as opposed to playing only direct run numbers, knowing you wont' get much back in return, like a puny 4-1-3 that pays maybe $70 on the dollar, depending on who post 4 is.
