I used to really like seeing what kind of roster was coming down
for Bridgeport & Milford each season. It kept things fresh
and interesting. Newport and Orlando also have had that kind of
buzz in recent years.
That all said, short seasons would really stink for those who
watch only simulcast and webcast. Unless all the players were
sending out their signal, there could be times of only one fronton
going, or none at all. And...look what happened to the Orlando
players when they went seasonal. Would those guys go home?
It worked in 1980, even 1990, but today I think it is not feasible
unless you had two different frontons working together ala Newport/Palm
Beach, Dania/Milford and World Jai Alai in the past, and the fans had access.
