Irastorza? He's not a defensive player

Posted on January 30, 2006 at 08:04:13 PM by Jim

There's no way Irastorza can be noted as the best defensive player, because he's an offensive player who plays with strong power and agressive left side, sidearm and forehand.

Defense is someone who has little shot selection, or no huge forehand, like Osa at Dania...someone who can catch all day and save shots, like Dezec at Miami is pretty good at that, usually. I'd say Aldazabal is a great defensive player, but his court positioning is atrocious in doubles...always has been...always will be.

Best defensive player at Dania is probably Osa. At Miami, probably Dezec.
