The one thing that stands out on this is that I feel the player's manager should not "discourage" the use of the outside serve in singles. They claim the game of singles would change as we know it. Yet they fail to realize it already has. Most singles points have been reduced to the 1-2 punch. You serve deep inside, the opponent is jammed, forced to return from the left, often weakly, you stand mid court waiting on the forehand, and put it away as a carom or chic chac. Allowing the outside serve could make it more interesting, becasue if it isn't done well, it sets the opponent up for a forehand angle, making for a touch catch to the server.
