Re(1): #107 - Should Singles ever be a 9-point game?

i not only like the idea of a 9 point game, but i also think that they should play the game with 6 post positions and in single point format.

i often wonder if the game should be extended to 11 points with the current 8 post positions and points doubled after the 1st round.

first off,the advantage of the early post positions of post 1,2 and 3 would disappear if the game was extended to 11 points.
another thing that should be changed is the player money situation for finishing in the money, i think that if the players only earned money for 1st and 2nd but MORE money in a longer point played game, then not only would the jai alai be more exciting, but the fans would also know that there is a need to win by the player he is betting on. (too many times have i wagered on a player and felt after he drops a ball, he just seemed to not care and was happy with 3rd or 4th)
i like the idea of longer games also because sometimes it seems that a player that will not be "INTO THE GAME" the 1st round up at times.
single games i feel are more exciting the more a player has a chance to get up and play hard to win.
