I thought it was a nice novelty when Berenson incorporated them into Hartford's program, but soon felt that they resembled a high speed warmup session. It was hard to win on placements because the entire court was covered (too much so!) and the points would have to be won on drops. One triples game a night was tolerable. I loved the Sunday matinees at Hartford, especially having two championship singles games (anyone that remembers the battles between Cachin and Remen knows what I mean), but that second triples game in the 15th game was too much, and was my cue to hit the road.
