I have no basis of this because I'm not a stat geek (well not THAT much of a stat geek), but runouts don't seem as likely in early games to me. The reasoning is that teams can't keep momentum and are more likely to make an unforced error. Perhaps I'm wrong about that in doubles, but I would say it is definitely the case in singles. How many game 2's at Dania have seemed to last for an hour? I know that it was like that at Milford.
