With 4 or 6 teams left, they're essentially playing elimination
(at least at first), but it's more complicated than that.
To avoid the risk of saying it wrong or confusing the issue further,
I suggest you read (carefully) the playoff rules printed in any
program.
Learn that, and you're ready for your Ph.D. in jai-alai.
