She is completely cool with it as long as I take care of family and work first which I do. I think the only way a spouse could have a problem with it, is if her partner:

1. did not have the money to gamble and put gambling over family.

or 2. used money that could be used to better themselves on Gambling.

I have seen gambling tear apart my friends family and its a shame. He had a great wife and he ruined it. See the thing was that he did not have the money me and my gambling friends have but he tried to keep up which killed him. If he stuck to jai alai he might of been okay but he loved the dogs and lost a ton of money. He has stopped gambling now but it was too late to save his family. He now relizes he must start his life over and keep gambling out of it.

I feel bad for people with addictions of all kinds. I've always said you have to be weak minded to get hooked on something but its sad none the less. Alot of the degenerates at Derby Lane have lost everything and to hear their stories its a shame.

The key to gambling is never bet what you can't afford but the problem with that is most of your gamblers have very few $$$$ to begin with.

Also, I think some people just "fall in love with gambling" and thats bad. Gambling is just one of my many hobbies, and actually ranks real low on what is important in life. Some weak minded people let it control them, very sad.
