Re(3): #66 - Do singles-serve/doubles-receive advantages pan out?

In singles, with a decent serve, the server can control court position and is in charge of the point for the most part. How this translates in wins, I don't know. Post 1 still needs to win 7 straight to start and there are too many odd factors in jai alai that work against this. I can see post 1 finishing in the money (place, show) a greater amount of times in singles, than doubles..

In doubles, there are 3 bad things that can happen to the server, Overserve, underserve, and getting picked and put away.. I see the receiving team with a clear advantage.

But once the receiving team wins the point then advantage over so in reality no team really has the advantage for longer then 1 point.

Wouldn't it be cool if the winning team of a point got to choose whether to serve or receive serve for the next point. I bet in singles, the player will always choose to serve and in doubles 90% of the time will choose to receive.
