But, often the payoff is $400+ - that would be the whole pot -
happens 1/3 (or more) of the time. And sometimes it's a split,
maybe 2 winners @$200, but sometimes much deeper, e.g.,
20 winners @$20. I've seen it go as low as $9.00. True consolations,
e.g., 3-8-All are not that frequent.
OK, let's say you get:
1 winner 1/3 of the time
2 or 3 winners 1/3 of the time
20+ winners 1/3 of the time
When the obvious favorite comes through, the split is deadly.
But what about the other times?
I think opportunities are being missed.
