Ah yes I love betting the supers. When I bet them I'm always looking to take down the whole pool (especially on the carryovers). Therefore, I'm gonna bet back to back numbers. For 72$ I take my key and put him in win, place, show with four other teams. Usually numbers like: 4-1,3,6,7 or 6-1,3,5,8. Or if I really like the team I'll key the chalk from the top but go for something like 2-3,5,7,8. It doesn't take 5 tickets to collect a nice consolation because if the numbers are crazy enough you may only need 1. For instance 8-2-7(1) most likely will be an all, and when you're using four numbers with you're key that gives you 2 consolation tickets. Then again if you have a real good feeling on the numbers for the tri you can hit the super for 30$, but how often can you guess the tri cold? It is practically impossible.
