Why wouldn't everyone wish him the best and hope he gets a shot? I have long said that amateurs can be their own worst enemies, as squabbles and rivalries are more common that anyone can imagine. Some of the jealousy and petty antics I have seen have blown my mind. If anyone of us had put so much passion into any pursuit, and had the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream, I would pat them on the back and say "go for it." I wish Cachin good luck. I know that I make a good piece of change for busting my ass in an unrewarding job, and if I had the opportunity to be the PA Announcer at Fenway Park for one year, I would pack my bags at go to Boston for the minimum wage.
