Actually, both Gabe and Bada make a great point. Bada says (more or less) that in other pro sports fans yell things MUCH worse. And it's undeniably true. And frankly, no one really cares. Even the commentators say harsh things, and no one really cares. So why is it that if someone does it during jai alai, it's such a cardinal sin? Who cares. The only reason it is so noticeable is because there is hardly anyone watching and just one comment is heard throughout the whole fronton.

By the way, some players deserve some criticism. Back in the day, I was pretty loud with comments, but they were never vulgar or racist or things like that. It was more like "how could you throw such a dumb shot." And it was regarding players like, well, I won't say whom, but they were totally out of position go for broke kill shots that landed 5 feet off the court...not even close. I feel some players deserve criticism from fans, like, for example, Luis, at Miami. He is one of the most aggravating players I've ever watched in this sport, probably, ever. And everyone who watches (or in my case, USED to watch) knows why.
