Arrieta was from the era of Bereicua / Aramayo / Ondarres /
Egurbi and those legends.
He was a late game quality front courter during his best years
playing Partidos in Spain. Hence this is why he had a better left
side rebote than any other back courter in Dania / Milford during
that time.
The hitch came more pronounced when he switched to the backcourt.
He had a very good server for a back court man in Singles, his
rebote is what made him a threat more than anything else, and
his right side could be very effective.
As far as the hitch, it was never considered holding because that
was his normal pivot and throw. He played late games, and in my
opinion was definitely better than how he is being portrayed in
many of the threads. Just my opinion though.
