1) Connecticut Amateur Jai Alai for giving a place for me and
many others to play again after many years.
2) Orlando Jai Alai putting on a great (albeit short) season
and simulcasting out for the first time. And to top it all off,
putting the season in archives so we can watch every game played
at any time.
3) Remember when Milford closed in 2001, most people assumed
all jai alai would be gone by 2010. Well, it's 2011, and there
is still Miami (with Fort Pierce on occasion), Dania and Orlando
(others excluded intentionally.)
4) Goiko and Lopez are two of the best at their respective
positions ever.
5) The debut of the first American players in years in the
past few years: Gallo, Spinner, Mateo, Jericho
6) Benny Bueno, a true "good guy" in the business
being named player manager at Dania.
7) Dania, Miami and Orlando are all on Facebook, realizing
that social media is out there
8) The fact that I still can watch jai alai seven days a week
at home if I want to.
9) The Citrus
10) There are forums where you can connect with other people who still love the sport.
