Before we start adding performances or changing the schedule,
we have to keep in mind that the Miami players are commuting at
least twice a week, from their respective South Florida homes,
to play at the Ft. Pierce fronton.
We also have to factor in the hotel costs for players on Friday
and Saturday nights.
If Florida Gaming is paying for the hotel and commuting costs
(which in all fairness they should), I doubt they can afford to
add any more performances or change the way the schedule is right
now because that would increase their expenses.
At this point, I suggest going to a weekend-only schedule with
a Friday evening, Saturday matinee and evening, and Sunday matinee
performance which would reduce the cost of running the Wednesday
and Friday matinee performances.
Unfortunately, this would also mean fewer opportunities for
the players to make bolero money but on the other hand, it eliminates
their Wednesday commute.
There is no perfect solution at this point but they do need
to make an adjustment quick!
