I hope so. I saw at least two plays Friday night that were
called against the frontcourter making a great catch. Totally
taking away one of the games top thrills. The screen is so thick,
you can't see through it up close (see my photos on the NJAA site).
I saw some angry fans in the crowd when the whistle was blown
after a great catch. It's like telling a centerfielder he can't
touch the wall going up to rob someone of a homerun. Sad.
While I'm at it, stop that stupid I-4 bet, it is too confusing,
brings nothing to the game. Also - go back to the original shirt
colors. It was impossible to tell what team was out there half
the time.
If they are trying to make the game easy to understand for newcomers,
these changes are not going to help at all.
And drop the wrist band nonsense - a hand stamp will work fine.
Wrist bands are OK if you are at an outdoor rock concert and have
VIP seats up front or something.
And on the program, make that "7" in points needed to
win the game much smaller - it is larger than the game number
being played! For exmaple, game 12 is listed with a huge 7, twice
the size of the game number being played. When you scan through
the program, all you see is the number "7" on the pages
first. Keep thinking it was Game 7!
