Thanks for the info, steve r. I am very glad the rule was rescinded.
(They now need to remove it from the program as well)
I am very glad the posts are random. I know Perry said he doesn't
like it, but it is much more difficult to pick a tri with 1 or
2 on top, than 5. I mean, hardly anyone plays the tougher tris
with a 5 on top, such as 5/678/1234...they all play 5/12/4, 5/3/12,
maybe 5//1234 to be a little safer, and that's usually it. Some
extend it a litle further. I extend it all the way out, like 5/123/wall,
5/4/1238 and 5/678/1234. But from post 1 or 2? First off, usually
not a run-out, and then ANY team can place, meaning you must play
every post postion to place with sensible show posts, costing
over 30 dollars, as opposed to $4 to $12 for a post 5 run-out.
I see Laca also agrees with me about the shirts. Perry, you will
see when you attend in person...it is very tough to see them.
But, overall, Orlando is the only fronton heading in the right
direction and doing so much to promote the jai alai and the live
crowds. AND THEY ARE LISTENING TO THE FANS! They just changed
the cushion rule, and they re-paired Goiko with Lopez (though
I did not like that). They even asked for our input about the
shirts, and had that meeting with some fans. I am hoping this
year's Citrus witnesses some record pools across the past 10 years
from what we've seen. Orlando deserves it.
