I can definitly second what Bennett says about N. Miami Amateur. Throughout the years Ive witnessed a lot of people getting hit with the ball, lots of blood, teeth knocked out and all kinds of bruises. The court was too small for those very fast Miami game balls that used to be out there. It didnt matter if you were inside or outside the fence you were a target. I saw one of the players mother who was seated and watching the game and the ball went right through the screen and hit her in the head. She went down with a big gash on her head and had to get stitched up at the ER. I think the outcome was the guy played free for life because of the shot his mom took, the weird part about it was he was the one that threw the carom that went through the fence and hit his mom. Another ironic hit was this guy who just happened to be a dentist was playing in the backcourt and let the ball go by him in order to turn a rebote. The ball came so quick off the back wall that he didnt have time to react and got hit in the mouth and lost a couple teeth.
