The only player I ever throw the shank on purpose was the old
Patxi (backcourter) who played middle / late games at Milford
in the late 70's to mid 80's. I saw him score with it many times.
He thew that shot when he caught the ball on his reverse and the
opposing frontcourter was to his left.
99.9% of every other shank I have ever seen was by accident and
why they call it a perfect placement makes no sense.
