Hey George, yes I know Joey was long in the tooth for a jai
alai player thats why I referred to him as the 'venerable
Joey' trying to imply it was more of his reputation over
his actual skill.
As far as Baronio and Beheretche, I dont have a program to check
the dates but 4 years playing at Dania would put them somewhere
in their early 20's and it can very well be argued that they had
not yet reached their prime. All those players that came over
from World Jai alai in 1988 were in their first season and very
young.
