The homerun is about the stupidest play in the game.

I don't think one can throw it ( backhand of course) say from the extreme frontcourt and back to the frontwall with no bounce...I'll believe that when I see it.

A good pro frontman ( or singles player) would read that ball and position properly for a nice kill rebote carom or other shot.

If it was attempted in doubles, the backman should have a shot at the ball. A guy like Churruca sure would, I've seen him (in singles) make a rebote off of a perfect serve from the likes of that Borg guy (Lecube).

I loved Lecube's high bounce carom in singles, and of course the Beirecua blast. I never seen anybody that could match those shots, esp. freaking Beirecua snatching the serve....you know what's coming, and still can't stop it !

Bridgeport was great, a sat night at the tables there in the 70's was better than tix to the Superbowl, and like $5.
